Our info@invisiblechildren.com inbox is flooded daily with a plethora of questions. Sometimes serious. Sometimes entertaining. But always interesting. And it is no surprise that most people want to know what band or song they heard during that “one scene” in that “one movie”. We are proud of the music that we’ve been able to debut in our media, and in that pride comes a sense of excitement to give even more of a platform to the artists we think deserve a listen. Music has an inexplicable ability to move your soul. You know this because you saw Titanic 4 times in the theater becuase of Celine Dion. Right? Or was that just my roommate Jedidiah Jenkins?

Either way, the music behind TONY is part of what makes it one of my favorite IC films. And I think you will agree, once you see it if you haven’t already.

So we wanted to take up some of your time and share with you some of the music we used in the new TONY bracelet film, and highlight one of the artists whose music is so personal to the ethos behind Invisible Children. His name is Geoffrey Oryema.

Here’s a snapshot of some of his lyrics from: La Lettre Extract 3

Dear Mister Commander,
I hope that someday
Your name will embrace peace
So that every child
Every woman, every man
In Atcholi district will travel
With Payira wind
‘Till that wind will wear a smile

Check out some of his music on iTunes and YouTube.
